Biography of Kagney Linn Karter
Kagney Linn Karter (born March 28, 1987 – died February 15, 2024) was an American adult film actress, exotic dancer, and entrepreneur. Born in Harris County, Texas, she grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, and Ridgway, Pennsylvania. In high school, she was active in track, cheerleading, speech, and debate.
Early in her life, she held jobs such as a hostess at a Mexican restaurant and a retail position at Office Max. Her stage name “Karter” was chosen by her, while Kagney Linn were her real first and middle names (inspired by actor James Cagney).
Career
- Early Start: At 18, she began exotic dancing in Missouri to save money for a move to California, where she dreamed of pursuing mainstream acting and singing. She won Déjà Vu Showgirl of the Year in Missouri (2007) and placed second nationally.
- Move to California: Relocated to chase entertainment opportunities but shifted into adult modeling and films after posing for photographer Holly Randall.
- Adult Film Career: Debuted in September 2008 with Naughty America. Quickly rose to prominence:
- Penthouse Pet of the Month (June 2009).
- Covers for Hustler (April 2009) and Adult Video News (June 2009).
- Signed exclusive contract with Zero Tolerance Entertainment (2010).
